I am a South African qualified ENT Surgeon. I competed a Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric ENT Surgery at Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. My Fellowship gave me a deeper understanding in the paediatric component in ENT surgery. I also learnt different approaches, and gained confidence in airway pathologies. Paediatric patients are not small adults and therefore deserve and benefit greatly from a clinician that prioritises them, understands them and takes the time to communicate frequently with their families.
