The journey through cancer treatment can be difficult. Dr Ramiah hopes his practice makes this experience a little more bearable. Dr Ramiah is the Head of Radiation Oncology at the University of the Witwatersrand and Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, in addition to having a private practice at WDGMC. Although he treats all tumours requiring radiation therapy , he has a special interest in breast and prostate cancer radiation oncology. He was a partner at Sandton Oncology Centre and West Rand Oncology Centre until 2016, after which he joined WDGMC. Dr Ramiah also holds an MBA from one of the world’s leading business schools (London Business School) and has an interest in harnessing maximal value from novel medical technologies, especially in oncology, improving service delivery, and the teaching of radiation oncology for a world moving to precision medicine.
