Dr Visagie is a general adult neurologist practicing at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre, where he is currently attending to patients in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. He obtained his medical degree at the University of the Free State (UFS) in 2013, after which he completed his internship and community service in Bethlehem, followed by a year of general practice in Potchefstroom. In 2018 he started his neurology fellowship/training as a registrar on the Johannesburg/Wits circuit, rotating through Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital and Helen Joseph Hospital. Dr Visagie qualified as a fellow of College of Neurologists in 2022 and obtained his Masters In Medicine (Neurology) cum laude in 2023. He believes that neurology exemplifies the structured approach a doctor should have to the complex problem solving process in medicine. Dr Visagie strives to practice excellent evidence based neurology with compassion.
