Dr Murray is an Infectious Diseases sub-specialist and Specialist Physician. He completed his DPhil (PhD) at Oxford University, focusing on the immunology of tuberculosis and HIV before specialising in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Wits University. He is a clinician scientist running numerous clinical trials and research studies at Wits University where he is a lecturer. He also works as a Consultant in the department of Infectious Diseases at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.
