MA Clinical Psychology (Wits); BA Hons Psychology (Wits); BA (Wits)

I am a Clinical Psychologist. I completed my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand. I work collaboratively with clients to assist them in gaining a better understanding of their difficulties and concerns. Underpinning the services I provide is a sensitivity to my client's particular needs. I strive to uphold a professional, non-judgmental, safe environment where they can fell heard and understood. I offer sessions in either English, SePedi, SeSotho, SeTswana or isiZulu. I have had the opportunity to work private healthcare facilities, as well as experience working with adolescents and adults in the public health and community settings. Working within theses settings has provided me with a firm grounding in culturally and contextually appropriate clinical and psychotherapeutic practice, assessment and diagnosis, multidisciplinary and peer consultation and the ethics of good practice for client and patient care. I have also been involved with teaching and training of clinical psychology students, interns and psychiatry registrars on the respective programmes within the Wits Faculties of Humanities and Health Sciences.
