Dr Khan specialized as an orthopedic surgeon at University of Witwatersrand in 2003. He worked as a consultant in the department of orthopedic surgery at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital and part time private practice at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Center Parktown since 2003 to 2022. He resigned from public sector in 2022 and started full time practice at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Center. Dr Khan has a particular interest in spine surgery and Lower Limb Joint Replacement. He deals with the following in spine surgery: • Complex spinal deformities in children and adults • Degenerative conditions • Tumors • Infections • Trauma He did his masters in minimally invasive spinal surgery at University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg due to his special interest in muscle preservation techniques. Dr Khan has keen interest in knee and hip replacement surgery and has been doing these procedures since 2003.
