I am a South African qualified ENT Surgeon. I competed a Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric ENT Surgery at Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. My Fellowship gave me a deeper understanding in the paediatric component in ENT surgery. I also learnt different approaches, and gained confidence in airway pathologies. Paediatric patients are not small adults and therefore deserve and benefit greatly from a clinician that prioritises them, understands them and takes the time to communicate frequently with their families.

Clinical Focus

  • Paediatric Patients With Airway Issues:
  • In ICU: Difficult To Intubate; Difficult To Ventilate; Difficult To Extubate; Prolonged Intubation Needing Tracheostomy; Decannulation Plan When Stable
  • In The Outpatient Setting: Tracheostomy Dependent Children; Congenital Airway Issues; Congenital Feeding Issues; Sleep Disorders With Sleep Apnea
