After completing his internship and community service in South Africa, Dr Goldstein completed basic surgical training at St Mary's Hospital in London (UK) and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS). He returned to South Africa to undergo post graduate orthopaedic training, and received the FCS(SA)Ortho qualification with distinction in 2012 (recipient of the JM Edelstein gold medal). After working as a lower limb trauma consultant at Charlotte Maxeke JHB Academic Hospital, Dr Goldstein joined Professor Schepers and underwent a two-year dedicated arthroplasty fellowship.
