Dr. Beringer received her medical degree from the University of the Free State in 2007. She qualified as a general paediatrician in 2015, and completed her subspeciality in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital in 2018. She treats childhood cancers (leukaemia, lymphomas, embryonic tumours), and has a special interest in genetic blood disorders such as sickle cell anaemia and haemophilia. Dr. Beringer's career goal is to contribute to the better understanding and management of childhood malignancies, as this will improve the childhood cancer overall survival rates. To do so, she is interested in academic research and the dissemination thereof. Clinical practice, however, remains her ultimate passion and priority. She offers a warm, inviting environment in which the whole family is attended to.
