Pierre Matthee is a social worker in private practice with a passion for patients diagnosed with acute and chronic illnesses. He holds a Master's degree in Social Work (Health Care) Cum Laude, through the University of Pretoria (2015). Working mainly in the field of health and disease, he competed a Post Graduate Certificate in Psychosocial intervention in End-of-Life and Bereavement care, through the University of the Northwest (2019). He has a passion for therapy, patient stories and exploring ways of how best to live life despite an adverse medical diagnosis. He also has a special interest in Narrative Therapy, which he studied through Dulwich Centre in Australia. He regularly does courses to update his knowledge.
