Endoscopy Unit
The CRU is involved in an open access endoscopy booking service for doctors. This means that should a patient require an endoscopy (colonoscopy/gastroscopy) their doctor can click on a link to refer them directly for the procedure.
This request will be reviewed by the clinic unit manager and provided it is a good indication and the patient does not have any serious medical conditions or on blood thinners they can be booked for the scopes without coming for a prior consultation with the gastroenterologist doing the procedure.
